About LocateMeTools

LocateMeTools is a small set of free, browser-based location tools: current location detection, GPS coordinates, public IP address lookup, distance calculation, coordinate format conversion, and geocoding. We built it because most "what's my location" sites bury a simple answer under ads, redirects, and unnecessary sign-ups.

How it works

Every tool on this site runs primarily in your own browser using standard web APIs, such as the Geolocation API. Some tools also need to contact a third-party service to do their job — for example, looking up an address for your coordinates or checking your public IP address. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly which third parties are involved and when. We don't operate our own tracking backend, and we don't require an account to use any tool.
